Than and Leighton

Here are a few ADORABLE pictures of Than and Leighton, my two favorite boys!

Leighton is so happy here even after a busted lip walking with a handful of Easter eggs just got to tricky and he fell. He has a swollen lip and it even bled a little, I was so horrified until he pushed me away to go play somemore before I even grabbed his boo boo spiderman or anything. Thats what I call rallying!

Major teething going on, finally! Ok what we have bee dreading the horrible teething, it seems a few teeth have decided to come in and he is feeling super horrible. He has a fever, and then vomitted, also diarhea, poor kid sleeping alot and lots of crying, Hopefully he will feel better soon and these teeth will come on in!

Leighton finally settled down on daddy for the night, So cozy I had to take a picture. Than was so exhausted and relaxed he dozed off too.

Thousands of Bubbles

This hands down has to be the best outdoor toy for young kids, all three were so amazed at it.

This was Leighton's first experience with bubbles and I think it will have to be a summer favorite for sure.

Carly just kept running in circles saying "Bubbles, bubbles"

More Easter Fun!

Leighton's first confetti egg, a south texas tradition. So exciting it was a ton of fun introducing this tradition to our friends the Mason's who were also there to help celebrate the holiday.

Another fun thing we had to entertain the kids was a bubble machine! When I bought this bubble machine from target I thought jeeze I hope this thing works good, WOW I WAS AMAZED!! It was crazy, on the box it says thousands of bubbles in minutes I believe it now! Look at all the bubbles in the pictures, the kids loved it and played in it for atleast 45 minutes!

Leighton just had the unsure look on his face the whole time as he stood there getting blasted with bubbles, it must have wore him out b/c afterwards he took a long late nap!

Egg Hunt

Well for a first timer I think he master the easter egg hunt. He would reach down and pick them up, then I would help him put them in the basket and find another one. We had three hunters this year and so many eggs they all got a ton. I think Kyler did the best, ofcourse she is the oldest and when we said go she was off and running.

So proud of the good job he did

Lucky for Leighton, The Easter bunny brought him a new little lovie, the old one needed a vacation to the washing machine land.

What a hunk! Than looking very cute in his new glasses, and I think the pink shirt made it even better! Not to mention he was workin the grill yummy hotdogs and burgers!

My Elephant sign

I realized I didn't put a picture of my Elephant sign I painted for Leighton that I was so proud of, So proud I saved it and now it hangs in his room. That is what my 3am creative hour and a little paint can do!

Leighton's First Haircut

Leighton needed a little trim! Than and I agreed on Easter Morning that Leighton had a bit of a Rat tail going so we had to trim it during bath time. I really was holding back because I knew a haircut was one of our last first and I wasn't ready, after putting it off too long we finally decided that he was starting to get a mullet and something had to be done!

In the end he doesn't seem to miss it much!

First Birthday Cake

Leighton's cake was great! It was very rushed that morning but Thank goodness I didn't have any trouble frosting the snake! I was very nervous since people were just arriving as I was slathering a thick layer of green frosting onto the my snake cake! He was a very good behaved little snake and held up like a champ even in the warm air!

Blowing out the candles was interesting Leighton couldn't understand why everyone was just staring at him?

Yummy, this time he had white cake, I think he liked the Chocolate better but in the end seemed to think that cake was cake!

All gone!

Presents!!!

Who doesn't love presents?? Apparently Leighton! No just kidding but he was so worn out after everything getting in cake and gifts was difficult. Funny enough all together his party was over in just under 3 hours so really it wasn't to long, pretty average i think. We wanted to open gifts in our safari tent outside it housed the gifts and that was the whole plan all along, until we had a super mega hot day, like hottest so far in the year! Anyway we decided to take it inside but look how cute the gifts look in the tent to start with!

Everyone was so sweet to get Leighton such great gifts, Thanks very much, he is really enjoying all the cool new things. And so many clothes we can't wait to fit into them ;) Leighton also was given alot of DVDS as per mommy request, this will be great for our long cross country drive/move quickly approaching ;)

Party Guests

We did invite mostly friends and family, but Leighton did invite some of his special friends. We did a handprint craft with a special jungle phrase, we had animal hats with ears to drawn on our own faces, and we even got to go on safari and capture animals to take home as part of the goody bags. The survival packs they got when they arrived, had the hat, animal print sunglasses, binoculars I made out of plastic cups, sticker and more! I gave them a malaria pill(cheerio) and fake typhoid shot, warned them of the yellow fever and stamped there hand for adventure approval. This became alot after a while, we had alot of people! We BBQ and had cake and the kids had a fun time, it was exhausting!
